Introduction
This section provides access to documents describing the data sources and procedures used for each data element in the MIS Student Success (SS) quarterly report submitted to the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO). Documents include lookup tables that identify how institutional data is translated or used. MIS users at the District are encouraged to download and review these documents and report any issue that may threaten the validity of the data submitted.
Methods and Procedures
This PDF document identifies institutional data sources for each data element in the MIS SS report and related procedures. The theoretical framework and methodology used to gather and validate data for the report is also discussed.
Lookup Tables
These are lookup tables in Excel format that link MIS SS data elements to related institutional data. These documents identify courses, SARS codes, and data in SOATEST (test and source codes) used to identify students at each college who received SSSP services during the reporting term. MIS (Management Information Systems) is the unit under the Digital Innovation and
Infrastructure division of the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office responsible
for term and annual data collection from the 72 districts/112 colleges within the
system.
